Tanya Furr, Scheduling Coordinator
If you’ve called the office, chances are you’ve talked to Tanya. Since joining our practice, she’s been answering our phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, and taking care of checking patients in and out. While she may be new to our dental office, she’s been working in dentistry for 15 years.
Since Tanya is a newer member of the team, she’s enjoying getting to know many of our patients. She loves helping people, so it’s no surprise that one of her favorite parts of working in the office is seeing how happy people are when they get major dental work done and get the results they wanted.
Outside of work, Tanya enjoys spending time with her husband, two grown children, two dogs (Daisy and Trixie) and her friends from high school – also known as the Ya-Yas. She also enjoys being involved with her church and reading a book on the beach. One of her favorites is “The 5 Love Languages” by Gary Chapman.
Lisa McCormack, Treatment Coordinator
Lisa has been working in our dental office for over 26 years, so it’s no surprise she’s in charge of managing the doctors’ schedules, our office supplies, and our supplies budget. She also schedules patient appointments, takes care of verifying insurance coverage, presents patient treatment plans, and checks patients out before they leave.
Lisa loves getting to know the patients and being able to help them – and she loves working with our team, what she calls her “work family”. She can see that each and every doctor and team member cares about our patients and tries to make them feel at ease and content when they are in the office.
Whether Lisa’s gardening organic vegetables, hunting, riding 4-wheelers or working on her tractor – she loves to do it all with her family. She even harvests her own chicken eggs and sells them to local restaurants and vendors! In addition to spending time outdoors, she also enjoys reading – “Angels Walking” by Karen Kingsbury is one of her favorites.
Lori Spence, Practice Manager
Lori’s career in dentistry began 24 years ago. She took a chance, interviewed for a position with a dentist, and he hired and trained her as a dental assistant. She worked her way up the ladder, eventually becoming the chief operations officer and human resources manager for a dental management company. For the past 15 years, she’s been managing the day-to-day operations of Dr. Vautin’s dental office.
Lori takes care of accounts receivable, employee training, managing staff, and serving as a problem solver when a new challenge arises in the office. Through it all, her favorite part of the job is the people – she loves to see how a patient in need of a treatment is led through the proceed of diagnosis, planning, and treatment.
When she isn’t managing the office, she loves spending time with her family outdoors – especially riding 4-wheelers in Tennessee. Lori also enjoys a good book – one of her favorites is “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey.
Jessica Bell, Insurance Coordinator/Dental Assistant
Jessica has been working with our patients and their insurance companies for two years, but her career in dentistry began seven years ago when she graduated from West Central Technical College. She will likely be the team member that checks you out when you’re ready to leave and takes care of scheduling your next appointment.
She also presents treatment plans to patients and assists both Dr. Vautin and Dr. Forrest with patient care, as needed. She loves having the opportunity to help people achieve the smile they want – whether that comes in the form of following up on insurance claims, scheduling their next appointment, or being hands on in an exam room.
When Jessica isn’t working with our patients, you’ll find her rooting on her daughter, who is a cheerleader. She’s a cheer mom in every sense of the phrase and wouldn’t have it any other way. Perhaps that’s why one of her favorite parts of working in our dental office is her friendly and caring co-workers.
Jennifer Adamson, Dental Assistant
While some people go into dentistry because they’ve always loved going to the dentist, Jennifer is different. She decided to pursue her dental education at Atlanta College of Medical and Dental Assistants because she never liked going to the dentist as a child and wanted to make it a better experience for others. Now she’s been in the field for 47 years, three of them in our dental office.
As a dental assistant, Jennifer helps Dr. Vautin with all of his dental procedures and sterilization. She also maintains the dental equipment – so she’s the reason our tools are shiny and functioning properly. Working with a team of two dentists that truly care about their patients is what she loves most about Carrollton Dental Solutions.
If you run into Jennifer outside of the office, chances are it will be at church or in her neighborhood community. She loves to read (especially Karen Kingsbury books), walk, cook, and spend time with her two grandchildren.
Camille Patterson, Dental Assistant
Camille has been working with us for a short period of time, but it seems much longer than that. She brings her bubbly personality with her as she works beside Dr. Forrest to assist with dental procedures and sterilization.
Her ultimate goal is to make every patient’s smile brighter – that’s the reason she chose a career in dentistry. She’s so passionate about that goal, that when she isn’t working, you’ll find her volunteering her time at the Rapha Clinic. She’s been working in the dental field for the last 3 years, after completing her education at the Dental Assisting School of Douglasville.
When she isn’t focused on oral health at work or as a volunteer, she enjoys nature, the gym, cooking, and reading. She recommends “The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts” by Gary Chapman.
Allison Williams, Dental Hygienist
Allison has been working as a part of our dental team to care for patients’ dental health – most of all, their smiles – for over 20 years. If you come in to the office for a dental cleaning, periodontal charting, sealants or fluoride treatments, chances are Allison may be the person providing your care. She also enjoys educating patients on proper oral health techniques – so she not only works with you in the office, but also helps you learn better ways to care for your smile at home!
Unlike some children, Allison always enjoyed going to the dentist – and as she grew up, that turned into a career goal. She received her education at the Medical College of Georgia, and now she’s been in dentistry for over 20 years – all of them with Carrollton Dental Solutions. Why so long with the same practice? She loves getting to know her patients and helping them make the most of their smiles.
Denise Tally, Dental Hygienist
Denise has been a part of our team for nine years, and in dentistry for a total of 22. As one of our dental hygienists, she removes hard and soft deposits from teeth to reveal your best smile. She also takes radiographs and oral cancer screenings, and reviews health history and proper dental health techniques with our patients. Educating patients on how to care for their teeth and gums is what she loves most about her job.
Denise worked in a dental office for four years as a dental assistant and liked it so much she wanted to further her knowledge and skills. That’s what led her to complete the dental hygiene program at West Central Technical College and pursue her bachelor’s degree at Georgia State Perimeter College.
When she isn’t sharing her dental health knowledge with our patients, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, family, and friends. She enjoys camping and kayaking, and reading a good book – “23rd Psalm” by Mitchell H. Warren being one of her favorites.
Sheila Wright, Dental Hygienist
After graduating from Georgia State Perimeter College and being in the industry for 30 years, Sheila says she is still learning as dentistry changes – proof that old dogs can learn new tricks.
Her love of dentistry began when she was a teenager – she loved the one-on-one attention she received from her dental hygienist. She’s spent the past 21 years with our dental office – reviewing patients’ health histories, performing oral cancer screenings, taking radiographs, removing hard and soft deposits from teeth, and teaching patients oral health techniques they can use at home.
Sheila enjoys giving patients advice on how they can improve and maintain their overall dental health, and presenting new ideas and products. She keeps up with the latest dentistry trends through her American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA) membership.
Outside of work, Sheila enjoys helping her church family, shopping at arts and craft shows, touring museums, listening to big band music, traveling, spending time with her family, and reading.
Erynne Wilson, Dental Hygienist
Erynne has been a part of our dental office for two of her seven years in the dental field. She enjoys working with patients and sharing her knowledge of oral health, especially when it comes to periodontics – she loves helping people learn to maintain periodontal health and prevent the loss of their teeth.
In addition to having a special passion for periodontics, Erynne likes to help patients overcome their dental fears. She and the rest of our team know that visiting the dentist office can be intimidating, so she goes out of her way to make them feel at home.
She received her dental education at Georgia Highlands, and outside of work she enjoys traveling with her husband and close group of friends. Erynne is also a bit of a health nut – she likes preparing health-conscious meals and exercising. In addition to looking out for her own health, she likes to exercise her mind by reading – she recommends “The 4:8 Principle” by Tommy Newberry to anyone that hasn’t read it yet.
